SIster Cities Protocol Signature

Honorable Mayor, Distinguished Participants,

I am İrfan ÖNAL, as the Mayor of Bayraklı, it is a great pleasure to be here today to discuss the establishment of a sister city relationship between the cities of Bayraklı and Portimão, within the framework of the “town twinning” project. This cooperation marks an important step in strengthening our cities economically, socially, and culturally.

The sister city agreement aims to promote collaboration between our cities in strategic areas such as sustainable development, cultural exchange, education, and tourism. This sister city relationship will not only foster a strong bond between our cities but also between our people, serving mutual benefit through joint projects and initiatives.

The protocol to be signed between Portimão and Bayraklı will symbolize a lasting friendship for the future. I am confident that through this cooperation, both cities will achieve significant progress on their path to development. On this occasion, I extend my best wishes for the success of this partnership for both sides and would like to thank all the stakeholders who contributed to this project.
